Why I Love What I Do

When I first took on the task of developing our new sound systems, I thought it best to go back to basics; back to the beginning. So I took a week off and spent the entire time doing nothing but listening to music through one of my high end audio amplifiers. That one week was so relaxing that I felt happier than I'd been in a long time, and it completely rejuvenated me.

As my deadline approached, however, my desire to reproduce what I was hearing from my high end amp was getting stronger. Could I do it with our new sound systems? After a lot of thought, I concluded that it was possible and set up some criteria that would help me achieve my goal:

1. The speaker cabinet had to be constructed out of wood.
2. Over 50% of the grill needed to expose the speakers inside.
3. To improve bass response, the subwoofer cabinet panels needed to be thicker and the enclosure had to be larger to provide adequate space inside.
4. We needed to update the software in the digital amplifier so that the sound wouldn't be influenced by or depend on every user's room conditions or set-up.
5. Finally, my commitment was to have the top system in our line sound as good as the high end amplifier I was listening to.

I'm pleased to say that I am happy with the results. With absolute confidence, I present to you our new line of NIRO sound systems; and I am especially excited about the NIRO 1000, which is truly our finest product to date. The 2-way speaker system, which houses an array of five 3.5-inch mid-woofer and 1-inch super tweeter speakers, was developed from scratch, especially for this project. A 1/2-inch thick wooden enclosure keeps cabinet resonance to a minimum, while the coarse grill mesh allows the sound to penetrate through.

The result is a smooth sound transmission without the edge; deep and very easy on the ears.
As an audio engineer, I have to confess that I enjoyed working on this project immensely, and I hope you will enjoy the benefits of my enthusiasm for the project.
